- A few words about ale, a famous type of beer invented in England. This drink is very ancient — it was invented at the beginning of the 7th century. The special circumstance that separates ale from regular beer is that ale is not brewed. Fermentation takes place at room temperature for several days, after which the drink is bottled and casked with added sugar, so that the fermentation does not stop and is clogged. After a couple of weeks, the contents of the bottles and barrels have the right to be called ale.
In Russia, this native English product is not particularly popular, but today it can at least be found in stores. In the old days, very few could boast of having tasted real ale.
Ale is not a familiar drink for a Russian person. The strange thing is that the ale is not filtered and there is always a residue of brewer's yeast in the bottles, which does not mean that it is spoiled. However, this drink has other, obviously good sides. For example, due to the fact that ale is not sterilized or pasteurized, all the beneficial substances of brewer's yeast remain intact.
And ale can be stored for a very long time. At the same time, the drink does not spoil from time to time, but on the contrary, it becomes tastier and softer due to the continuous fermentation.
And finally, the research results of the Munich Beer Institute: It turns out that one liter of real English ale is 10 times healthier than 1 liter of milk and contains 20% of an adult's daily calorie requirement.
